A Team of Hair Stylists Committed to their Craft

It’s not the scissors or the bottle that does the work, it’s the hands and the minds that are using them that is the key. Our hair stylists are from all walks of life but have the same passion for hair and the training needed to see their visions come to life.

Jon Rembert

Jon specializes in contemporary haircuts and natural hair color, as well as edgier looks. Influences from his parents, an engineer and interior decorator, gave him the basics for pursuing his passion for styling hair. Form, function and working with his hands have always been a big part of Jon’s life. He started at Cortex® as an apprentice and has been a part of the staff since 1994.

Rachel Ivanowski

Rachel, who joined Cortex® in 2004 but has been a stylist for over 20 years, has done classical training at Vidal Sassoon and has continued her education with Bumble and Bumble, Aveda, and American Crew. She is skilled in wig refreshment as well as extensions. She is experienced in all hair lengths and textures but really loves working with curly hair and creating dimensions with color. She loves the personal and artistic experience styling hair provides and finds inspiration in the different personalities of her clients.

Olivia Ruck

Olivia, an Atlanta native, attended Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy, graduating in 2016. During her time there she worked on numerous photo shoots and was published in Lividity Magazine. An avid painter, Olivia has an eye for color. She enjoys color of all types but her passion is in highlights and balayage.

Emma Cooley

Part of the Cortex team since 2017, Emma brings a passion for color that's as natural and varied as the outdoors she loves to explore. An avid animal and nature lover, Emma finds much of her inspiration on the walks through the woods with her dog, Stella - translating earthy, organic palettes into her work behind the chair.  From pale, sunkissed blondes to rich, dimensional brunette tones, she specializes in color techniques that feel effortless and true to life.  What Emma loves most about hairdressing is the personal connection it creates with each client.  She takes the time to understand her clients' individual needs, working with their hair's natural movement and tailoring every cut to complement their unique facial features.
