How much does it cost?
Prices start at $250 and go from there depending on the stylist you see. We require a credit card to book the treatment, along with a $100 deposit that will be applied towards the treatment. Cancellations must be done at least 72 hours in advance. Any cancellations not completed within this time frame will result in a forfeiture of the deposit.
How long does the treatment take?
The process can take two to three hours, depending on the length and thickness of the hair.
Can hair be colored before the treatment?
Yes. Coloring before the treatment is recommended. The smoothing system will seal in the color making it shinier and giving the color a longer life. You should, however, wait two weeks to color your hair after the treatment.
Is it safe for chemically treated hair?
Yes. It is safe for highlighted and colored hair and will actually make it stronger.
How long after the treatment should you wait to wash your hair or allow it to get wet?
You should wait at least 72 hours. Hair should not be pinned or pulled back since bands or clips will leave impressions. If your hair does get wet, you should blow dry and flat iron the hair.
What kind of after care is recommended?
Keratin shampoo and conditioner is highly recommended since it is specially formulated to go with the system.
How often can the treatment be done?
As often as every 4-6 weeks.
Is the reapplication of the treatment done on the entire head or just on new growth?
Reapplication should be done on the entire head because the build up of the keratin can only improve, not harm the hair.
How long will the treatment last?
It can last up to 3 months or more, depending on hair type and texture and proper care.
Should the hair be cut before or after the Keratin Smoothing Treatment?
The hair should be cut after the treatment since the treatment makes the hair lie differently.
Can the treatment be done on pregnant or nursing women?
It is not recommended.
