Cortex Hair Studio, established in 1989, is dedicated to helping clientele achieve a beautiful image. Owner Marion Ventulett’s philosophy, “The more time we take to nurture ourselves, the better we feel. We become able to project a better self-image to the world around us.”
Striving to foster a creative environment, Ventulett has retained a core staff of professional stylists who are also writers, musicians, photographers, painters, sculptors and teachers. Ventulett also is inspired by family member Tom Ventulett, renowned Atlanta architect and artist. His artwork is featured on our website.
Located in the charming intown neighborhood of Virginia Highlands, the tranquil surroundings create a calming and peaceful mood. These surroundings continue inside the confines of the airy studio. Soothing music, Numi organic teas, comfortable surroundings, along with beautiful artwork from local artisans, create a relaxing atmosphere.
The salon offers wireless internet service and is open late to accommodate the schedules of busy clientele. Cortex is committed to providing unparalleled professional service specially tailored to each client in a relaxing and friendly environment.
Cortex proudly participates with Locks of Love and Wigs for Kids, two non-profit organizations who provide hairpieces for children who are suffering from long term medical hair loss.
